Was that really all that Gov. Fashola could muster as his assessment of the Ekiti election (ref: Ekiti poll: My take away)? Not a word on the APCs own goals, especially the intra-party intrigues that threw up the Opeyemi Bamidele candidacy, weakened the party ranks, and whittled its resolve to resist PDP manipulation antics. If this is the quality of thinking coming out of the topmost echelons of the APCs intelligentsia, then it might just be a short walk from the Ekiti debacle of June 21st to the Osun disaster of August 9th and, ultimately, the Lagos tragedy of 2015! Fuzzy thinking and blame placing must not be elevated above clear-headedness and forthright introspection in these critical times...
