Wasielewski , Karen L. 60 Natrona Heights Karen L. (Petrak) Wasielewski, 60, of Natrona Heights joined her beloved son, David, in heaven, Thursday, Nov. 6. 2014. Karen passed away at home surrounded by her loving family and dear friends. Born in 1954, in Natrona Heights, to Margaret L. and the late John F. Petrak Sr., Karen had an extreme zest for life, cooking, music and QVC shopping. She attended Highlands High School, graduating in 1972 and furthered her education by attending Francos Beauty Academy in New Kensington and obtaining her real estate license. She was previously employed at Schenley Distillery and managed the Ducktown Inn. Karen courageously left this world as she marched through it - in complete control of her own destiny. Survivors include her mother, Margaret Petrak; her brothers, John (Suzanne) Petrak Jr., Timothy (Shawn) Petrak and David (Sandy Scalise) Petrak; her sisters, Carol (Jeffrey) Matuizek and Susan Motosicky; her companion, Leo Monti; the father of her son, Anthony Guerrera; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, whom she loved dearly. Besides her son, David A. Guerrera, she was preceded in death by her father, John Petrak Sr.; her sister, Cathy Kush; and her husband, David Wasielewski. A loving heart, a beautiful spirit - these are the things that last forever. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Gertrude Catholic Church, 303 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift, with Father James Loew OSB as celebrant. Interment will follow in the St. Gertrude Cemetery, Vandergrift. Arrangements have been entrusted to the DUNMIRE-KERR and ROWE FUNERAL HOME INC., 244 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift.
