[Watch] Judge Orders IRS Officials To Testify Under Oath RE “Lost” Lois Lerner Emails In what Greta Van Susteren calls “a big development,” Federal Judge Emmitt Sullivan ordered the IRS to submit a written declaration under oath detailing what occurred with Lois Lerner’s emails. The ruling was a result of a Judicial Watch lawsuit for documents, under the Freedom of Information Act. The IRS has thirty days, until August 10th to respond. Charles Krauthammer gives his take on the development, citing the judiciary as the only means through which something will happen, given the obstructionism of Eric Holder. Krauthammer addresses what he calls a pattern of deception and concealment, on the part of Lois Lerner and the IRS consistently. He then touches on the latest revelation, that of a documented attempt to cover information which might be included in emails. We have also learned that this was a calculated revelation through a planted question, due to a pending release of information from an Inspector General’s report, that the IRS was targeting conservative groups. Krauthammer says it is like the White House and the IRS are playing a game in which “unless you ask me exactly the right question we’re not going to answer it.” He and Greta agree that if Holder doesn’t appoint a special prosecutor, the Obama should get rid of him.
