Watch WTHR at 11:00 pm for the latest weather updates. Indiana is under a slight risk for severe storms tomorrow. A lot of viewers have been asking us if the storm system that spawned deadly tornadoes in Oklahoma and Arkansas will be heading to Indiana. The same system will bring severe storm potential to Indiana Monday, mainly between 4pm and midnight. But as Sean Ash explains, the set-up here will be much different than what took place to our west. Arkansas was under a rare high risk due to extreme instability/wind shear. As of now, Indiana is under a slight risk (though subject to change.) The big factor will be how quickly widespread rain/storms/clouds that impact the morning commute depart that state. Quicker departure results in a warmer, more unstable set-up. For now, large hail and lightning are the highest threats, with low-end risks for wind and tornadoes. That could change, and the bottom line is that you need to be weather aware Monday. If you dont already have a weather radio, tomorrow would be a good day to pick one up!
