Watch and Act Issued For: Combienbar, Manorina, Bellbird Creek, Cabbage Tree Creek Fire Origin: 10 K NNW CLUB TERRACE Incident Name: CLUB TERRACE - GOOLENGOOK RIVE Issued: 17/01/14 2:01 PM This is a Watch and Act message issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Combienbar, Manorina, Bellbird Creek, Cabbage Tree Creek and Goolengook. A separate Emergency Warning has been issued for Club Terrace. The bushfire is expected to impact Club Terrace and surrounding area in the next 1 to 2 hours. There are multiple bushfires to the north and west of Club Terrace. The bushfires are currently not yet under control. Under todays conditions bushfires are unlikely to be controllable. Activate your Local Incident Management Plan (LIMP) now. Dont wait, leaving now is the safest option - conditions may change and get worse very quickly. Emergency Services may not be able to help you if you decide to stay. Travel to; - Cann River Relief Centre at Cann River P-12 School, Tamboon Road, Cann River. - Orbost Relief Centre at Orbost Secondary College. - The home of family or friends that is away from the warning area. When driving, slow down and turn on your headlights; smoke will make it difficult to see. The Princes Highway is expected to close soon between Orbost and Cann River. The next update is expected by 17/01/14 6:00 PM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Remember to take your prescriptions and medication, photo ID, bottles of water, your mobile phone and charger and consider what you will do with your pets. If you have time, check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. Contact a family member or friend to tell them what you plan to do. Stay Informed: Via depi.vic.gov.au.
