Watch and Act Issued For: Creightons Creek, Gooram, Longwood East, Old Longwood, Ruffy Fire Origin: CREIGHTON CREEK Incident Name: CFA_LONGWOOD-GOBUR RD - CREIGHTON CREEK - 1497917 Issued: 18/12/14 5:15 AM This is an updated Watch and Act message issued by Country Fire Authority for . The CREIGHTON CREEK bushfire is currently not yet under control. Residents of Firetail Lane, Lynsdale Road, Panorama Drive and Gap Road Longwood East are advised that fire activity to the south of these areas is significant and fire fighting efforts are being hindered by the difficult terrain. Residents need to remain vigilant as the fire behaviour continues to be unpredictable and are again urged to remian alert and activate their bushfire plans. Traffic Management points have been established and roads are closed as follows: - Creightons Creek Road between Longwood - Mansfield Rd and Sincliar Road - Longwood Ruffy Road between Gap Road and the Ruffy township - Longwood - Gobur Road between Longwood - Ruffy Road and Creightons Creek Road Travel to; - The home of family or friends that is away from the warning area. - The relief centre at Wesley Hall, Bury St, Euroa will be open from 8am today Thursday 18th The next update is expected by 18/12/14 11.00 AM or as the situation changes. Safety information: Remember to take your prescriptions and medication, photo ID, bottles of water, your mobile phone and charger and consider what you will do with your pets. When driving, slow down and turn on your headlights; smoke will make it difficult to see. If you have time, check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. Contact a family member or friend to tell them what you plan to do now.
