Watch and Act Issued For: Hynes, Glenisla, Rocklands Fire Origin: 17KM NE OF BALMORAL Incident Name: ROCKLANDS - REES RD Issued: 07/01/15 1:17 PM This is an upgraded Watch and Act message from the previous Advice message issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Hynes, Glenisla, Rocklands. The Rockland - Rees Bushfire 17KM NE OF BALMORAL is currently not yet under control. The bushfire has broken out the in the southern section and travelling in south easterly direction towards private land, below Muirfoot Track. Spot fires and ember attacks may be occurring ahead of the fire. Private property south east of the Black Range State Park could be impacted anytime within the next two hours. Dont wait, leaving now is the safest option - conditions may change and get worse very quickly. Emergency Services may not be able to help you. Travel to; - The home of family or friends that is away from the warning area. The next update is expected by 07/01/15 5:00 PM or as the situation changes. Safety information: Remember to take your prescriptions and medication, photo ID, bottles of water, your mobile phone and charger and consider what you will do with your pets. When driving, slow down and turn on your headlights; smoke will make it difficult to see. If you have time, check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions.
