Watch and Act Issued For: The Fingerboards, Fernbank Fire Origin: 3KM SW GLENALADALE Incident Name: GLENALADALE - LIMPYERS 3 Issued: 17/01/14 4:05 PM This is a Watch and Act message issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for The Fingerboards, Fernbank. There is a small three hectare bushfire travelling quickly in a southerly direction from towards Fernbank. This bushfire is currently not yet under control. The fire could impact Fernbank and The Fingerboards any time in the next two hours. This fire is in State forest, travelling towards pine plantations. The Bairnsdale-Dargo Road is closed from Cowells Lane west. Beverleys Road is closed north from the corner of the Munro-Stockdale Road the Fernbank-Glenaladale Road is closed north from the corner of Chettells Road Dont wait, leaving now is the safest option - conditions may change and get worse very quickly. Emergency Services may not be able to help you if you decide to stay. Travel to; The home of family or friends that is away from the warning area. Stratford or Bairnsdale When driving, slow down and turn on your headlights; smoke will make it difficult to see. The next update is expected by 17/01/14 6:00 PM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Remember to take your prescriptions and medication, photo ID, bottles of water, your mobile phone and charger and consider what you will do with your pets.
