Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation, the spirit - TopicsExpress

Watch and pray that ye enter not into temptation, the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak (Matthew 26:41). The watch means to be on guard, to remain alert. It is not enough to pray you must know how to watch. The enemy is as a roaring lion and he seeks those that he may devour. Keep a guard on your heart and do not allow anything to enter that would contaminate you. Next, you must watch out for temptations, fleshly desires that will pull on the anointing. Be careful that you do not enter areas that will take you down. The Bible says to walk in the spirit and you will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. The spirit of God in you will keep you from falling; your soul must be fully surrendered to the spirit. Do not allow your emotions to lead you, allow the Holy Ghost to led you. Beloved, you can live a life free from sin when you watch and pray. God will reveal the tricks of the enemy to you through prayer. Be determined to watch and pray daily, remember the Holy Ghost is ready to help you triumph in prayer.
