Watch for a Cap Times story on my tweets - coming soon! Not sure if they will get it right - I support free speech and people owning up to what they say when they are called out. Personally I dont think NBA team owners are a main source of shaping public thought, but I could be wrong. The NBA seems to have taken the bull by the horns and has doled out punishment based on contracts. I worry about the slippery slope of using recorded private conversations to punish people in the press - John Kerry seems to be being treated a little differently as his private conversations about Israel are coming out. Finally, this guy has a long history of racist behavior, but the NBA and NAACP did nothing for decades. I am glad to see the market working and believe this would have ended the same way (Sterling leaving basketball) without the media spin circus that has developed so far.
