This Saturday and Sunday, you can head to any Pet Food Express location (including the one in Palo Alto at 3910 Middlefield Road) and buy pet wash tokens. The proceeds will benefit Cover Your K-9, a non-profit organization that provides bulletproof vests for police dogs, as well as other critically important police dog items like trauma kits, car heat alarms, and medical care for retired dogs! PAPD K-9 Eddie will be on-hand both days starting between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. to say thanks and to shake paws with you and your family. Eddie received a custom-fitted bulletproof vest from Cover Your K-9 last year, and hell be there to help raise money to benefit his K-9 partners in other jurisdictions.
