Watched Frank. I went into seeing this primarily because Michael Fassbender is in a paper mache head throughout the movie. It was a little distracting, because I kept thinking if that really is Fassbender underneath that giant fake head. It was a very amusing thing to see though. Its like the other actors were interacting with a cartoon figure. The movie itself is expectedly weird, quirky, strange, and just generally odd. Watching this avant garde band and its enigmatic lead singer in a fake head, definitely kept my interest in seeing where the story was going. There is some commentary regarding being true to yourself and to your music, while fighting against mediocrity and false acceptance. It handles that topic in delightfully unexpected ways. Frank is one of those movie that isnt for everybody, but its nonetheless an interesting one.
