Watched GETAWAY..a superfast ,stylish but mindless chase-action- thriller, hollow at the core..Period!! ...The premise is stale to the point of stinking. Straight out of Jason Stathams cupboard of The Transporter series, Cellular, WWE produced John Cenas dumb Marine 12 Rounds .For not so holly-savvy friends ,let me put it this way..almost all of you have seen Sandra& Keanus Speed..If you have seen that or Jason Stathams The Transporter series, Cellular, or WWE produced John Cenas 12 Rounds , you can give this film a royal miss. Cars flying, banging ,exploding..etc etc..havent we seen enough of that in Bollywood, South Indian Films & now also in Tollywood??!! The film justifiably got negative reviews majorly , with critics calling it, Monotonously fast-paced to the point of exhaustion, Getaway offers a reminder of the dangers in attempting to speed past coherent editing, character development, sensible dialogue, and an interesting plot, Not even the gruffly likable Ethan Hawke can make the murky, messy car chase movie Getaway worthwhile thanks to its inane script and poorly conceived action sequences , brainless chase flick that doesnt even offer guilty pleasures.. RECOMMEND-WATCH ONLY IF YOU ARE AN INSANELY CRAZY ACTION FREAK...EMMINENTLY AVOIDABLE!!
