Watched this movie tonight. Here it is known as Imogene. I read the caption and other vague bits on the cover in the movie shop with barely concealed distrust, but I was soon proven wrong. I do not know these actors. I vaguely remembered Annette Bening and Matt Dillon from some other long-dead American bubblegum Hollywood crap we watched in our childhood years. This movie soon, almost hesitantly, opened its arms in welcome to me, and I was swiftly overwhelmed in a rush of delight at the way this story thumbed its nose at high-society, hoity-toity America with its New York rooftop parties and concierge - appointed apartments with a noisy delight. This is common, low class New Jersey at its best, (excluding Sylvester Stallone) sticking it to French-speaking New York tarts in hideous black dresses. My kind of world. Excellent stress reliever. watch it or be sorry forever....
