Watching Braveheart, best romance movie ever. Not historically accurate but close. It does show very clearly one of the reasons why Celtic people were overrun by the treacherous and evil english. Christianity. Before Christianity Celtic woman were strong fighters who protected their homes and selves with strength and training at arms. But Christianity teaches that women are less, below men, meant to be meek and quite therefore when Christianity invaded the Celtic cultures the woman, while still more free than most societies, weakened considerably and were no longer trained at arms. If Murron had been pagan when attacked she would have had skills to fend off english scum but because she was a weak Christian she had no training other than to simply rely on a man. If Christianity had never got a hold in our lands our woman would have been strong enough to help our men fend off the english invasions. This is true in most northern countries. Christianity is atleast partially responsible for the weakening and destruction of our great cultures. Our ancestral Gods did not seek to weaken our people but to build, expand and enhance our peoples. Had our people not accepted the middle eastern religion our warriors would have never faltered. Christianity teaches all to be servants and slaves, to take the easy road of acceptance and to bow down and turn the other cheek that all hardships in this life will be rewarded in heaven, my people have been brought low due to that inane and lazy thought process and now we see it in all parts of the world. Muslims, Christians and Jews are destroying the world in the same way they have decimated and subjugated cultures since their cults were founded- but on a horribly grander scale. Woman are the strength of a people, when you have a religion that puts woman in specific roles and those roles all seek to keep woman subject to men the entire balance is off and real evil occurs. Islam, Christianity and Judaism all practically enslave woman. Pagan religions kept a balance and equality in genders and strength. Woman chose their roles and were respected and revered for their ability to not only give life but to take it when needed. No man wanted a weak wife, a pagan man wanted and needed a wife to have his back, to protect their home and be a true partner. Odin be praised for His wisdom and His love of Frigg that they have strength and not subjugation to their people. Praise the Dannan for even in their more peaceful ways strength of arm and skill for both men and woman was considered noble.
