Watching C-Span today with all the videos of the JFK assassination. So terrible to relive that! Also, very strange to see how old the B&W newscasts look. I dont remember when we first got a color TV but even if someone had a color TV, so many things were still in B&W. The ping in the correspondence over the phone (?) is oddly familiar - a sound I havent heard in decades. Not sure what it is, and it is hard to believe that it has been 50 years! How different things were then - how different the technology, the cars, the fashions. It is odd that it all looks so familiar - like it was just yesterday.
