Watching IPL means you cannot miss the new Havells home appliances ads. Chutney -Patni, Sthree- Isthree and the wife-home appliance versions. Wondering which demographic they are targeting? The stay-at-home wife? The feminist who got married against her wish? Somehow the tone of the ads shows women in a rather poor light and if Havells wanted men also to use the machines, does it help to show them as boorish guys who do not know their wives triggers?
