Watching Patch Adams - Robbie Williams is amazing in this movie The role of a doctor is not only to prevent death but to increase the patients quality of life... For me that means to be human with patients , listen to them, treat them beyond a diagnosis because people are not their diagnosis... Coming from someone who lives with a chronic condition, type 1 diabetes, I think this is simple, humble yet genius and touching! I wish every single doctor out there watch this movie and try applying it a bit more and more to their profession... Unfortunately in my experience I have met way too many doctors who got too caught up with the knowledge they have, too caught up in their head and very little in touch with their hearts. You can and should bring more heart to your practice because patients want to feel safe whoever they choose to take care of them and they feel indeed safe when they know a doctor sincerely care
