Watching Prince Avalanche with Paul Rudd. Kinda slow, but thought provoking, esp knowing the setting is 1988 post firestorm in Texas. Ive been thru a firestorm, no one understands loss better. I live in a home now that isnt mine, with furniture, dishes,knick knacks and pictures that arent mine. Sometimes i wonder, where is my???? Then i remember that its gone, lost or somewhere idk. Sometimes it makes me sad still, mostly i feel free of the encumberances of things. Content with all ive gained in myself. This is the ebb and flow of life, the giving and taking. Things that cannot be taken remained, cleansed by fire. You possess only what you overcome and gain only in your loss.
