Watching Return to Zero....brings back so many memories of the day we found out about Joey the trembling and denial at the ultrasound and then the days/weeks following his death. People say some pretty ridiculous things and grief is such a long road travelled differently by everyone involved. Time doesnt necessarily heal but over time you learn to live without your child and the future you so desperately wanted and dreamt of. In some ways I was lucky because I had to go on for Jacks sake and later on for Julia...it was 2 years before the weight of what had happened fully hit me. I can say now how blessed I am but at the time I felt anything but...I lost my son and my son lost his best friend for life. I hold my kiddos closer and relish every accomplishment because you never know what life brings and that is a very special gift I will never take for granted! Highly recommend watching this movie....its a pretty accurate portrayal of what families go through.
