Watching a few YouTube clips this morning.... Pretty amazing stats here on the distribution of wealth in the US. Top 1% of the wealthy own 40% of the wealth, 80% of the population owns only 7%. At the moment this top 1% take home 24% of the national income compared to only 9% back in 1976 so their share of the distribution of income has nearly tripled over the past 38 years....Top 1% own more than 50% of the stocks/bonds and mutual funds while the bottom 50% only own 0.50%....
