Watching over season 4 of The Walking Dead again in anticipation of perhaps watching season 5 when it airs. Im left thinking Ill probably watch it because Ive gotten this far but I cant get over how terrible most of it is. Action poses every 5 minutes, Something that looks a bit cool but completely lacks realism and takes you out of the immersion - Things that are obviously there just to look cool with no reasoning behind it. A hey look, we told you there it would be more gore / gruesome / scary moment every 5 minutes like a child wanting attention from its parents An incredible ability to make the protagonists extremely unlikable while the antagonists more likable and interesting. Amateur shots and inexplicable drop in quality of shots every 5 minutes - Usually seems to be a cheaper camera used at a time it could potentially get damaged or something. It seems to me that the creators of TWD series are its own biggest fan and should stop playing up DRL for the female, and pictures of Lauren Cohan for the male fans and get on with writing a decent show. Theres plenty of realism that can be ignored with it being a zombie apocalypse based program so unless its meant to be like a comic book, they should remember its not the comic and that its meant to portray an immersive story, plot and characters in an unlikely setting like the first season when it was Frank Darabonts baby.
