Watching the 2014 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony last month I recall thinking that Putin reminded me of many of the tyrants of the past who took advantage of the Olympic stage. I find this man and what he stands for so repugnant! He has confirmed all my suspicions of his thirst for power and his quest for Russian relevance. I am now very confident he has sown the seeds of his own demise. Hubris is his downfall as it has been for so many of his ilk. It wont happen right away but when it does, it will be swift and dramatic.
