Watching this movie with hubby last night. Even though I grew up when the real war was over, the cold war was still there and people was hurt and starved to death years afterward. The war and its everlasting stories still horrified a lot of us. My childhood was full of terrifying stories of bombings and kills from both sides. So its safe to say that the fear is still there.
