Watching with increased interest the antics of the Jasper County School District. Whoops - watch the other hand, were filing suit against the architect and contractor, etc for the schools that opened in 2007... Coming up on the liability limit for that, although these were known deficiencies at least two years ago. Its in the board meeting minutes - but like anything government, it takes forever to get anything done. Meanwhile, FOUR employees subpoenaed to testify before a Grand Jury in Columbia doesnt sound like a minor issue to me. Add that to FBI, IRS and SLED, a Grand Jury usually means an indictment, doesnt it? Anyone with a legal background commenting would be helpful! Weve got a lot of residents here who have been out in the cold for a long time with this district!
