Water Extract Daily intake of water boiled with crushed cumin seeds (jeera), coriander seeds, black dry grapes (with seeds) will remove the toxic substances from the large intestines thereby regularizing the bowel activities, lowering cholesterol levels, antioxidant properties and many more. CORIANDER - Coriander sativum g Coriander seed is widely used as an important spice in the Indian culinary for ages. Coriander has been traditionally referred to as an “anti-diabetic” plant. It has been used for its anti-inflammatory properties. Recent studies have shown its cholesterol-lowering effects. CUMIN - Cuminum cyminum Cumin seed is known for its distinctive aroma. The active principles in the cumin may augment the motility of the gastro-intestinal tract as well as aids in the digestion powder by increasing gut enzyme secretions. Both coriander and cumin seeds contain numerous phytochemicals that are known to have antioxidant, carminative and anti-flatulent properties. These seeds are excellent source of dietary fibre. They are also the source for iron, copper, calcium, potassium, manganese, selenium, zinc, magnesium and vitamin B complex. Black Dry Grape Black dry grapes along with its seeds when boiled with water will give grape seed extract. This water when regularly will give a healthy heart. Black grapes have been associated with health and nutrition for centuries and they even appear in ancient literature and works of art. They can drastically reduce heart disease risks the consumption of grapes also reduces and regulates cholesterol levels. The high flavonoid content in them improves brain function, enhances memory, and concentration. Resveratrol is one of several grape phytonutrients that is believed to affect longevity, because of its effect in slowing oxidization of cells and molecules, a property that also offers protection against degenerative conditions like cancer. Quercitin is another phytonutrient present in grapes that has been found to demonstrate anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Research also indicates that this particular property could lower the risks of developing a blood clot. Grape seed extract itself, plays many roles in maintaining health. Its anti-aging properties may aid in the reduction of wrinkles. It provides cardiovascular protection by preventing oxidation of lipoproteins, making it more difficult for them to adhere to blood vessel walls. It also strengthens the lining of the arteries, making them less resistant to damage. To benefit all these in our daily life a simple change in our drinking water will cater all the requirements. Step 1 Take a handful of coriander seeds and two handful of cumin seeds crush them with mortar & pestle or do a quick blend in the mixer. Step 2 Along with this add 10 – 12 dry black grapes and boil it in 3 litres of water. Step 3 Let the water to boil until it becomes 2 litres. Cool it and then use as regular drinking water. * The used decoction could be reused two to three times without any change in its properties.
