Water Polo Tuesdays Strength and Conditioning Tips: Traditional - TopicsExpress

Water Polo Tuesdays Strength and Conditioning Tips: Traditional Water Polo Strength and Conditioning programs (Bench Press, Back Squat, Bench Pulls, Sit ups) do not enhance your performance in the pool. In some cases it will cause more harm then good. Bench Press and Sit ups being the worst. As you well know guy with the biggest bench press is not the strongest guy in the game. Water polo movements consist of lot of rotational, power and asymmetrical movements, so it only makes sense to include those in your training program. Check out Australian Men’s Water Polo players AJ Roach and Tyler Martin training last week at Z-Best Fitness before they head to play in Hungarian National League. We spent a bit of time on mobility, static and dynamic core strength, rotation and asymmetrical training on TRX.
