Water meters in Belfast? [please share] Over the past few weeks and months éirígí have been approached by countless individuals about the possibility of water meters being installed throughout Belfast and the six counties. It is our understanding that water meters are not currently being rolled out but that they are supposedly upgrading the system and as part of that upgrade they are installing boundary boxes and stopcocks which allow water meters to be very easily installed at a later date. The upgrading of the system with public funds (your money) will make our water system more attractive to investment and privatisation. This means that you would then have to pay for water, a basic human right, and which may then be denied to you for lack of payment. So what do you do about this? If you want to prevent the installation of a water meter at your address after the above work has been completed then all you have to do is watch this video and follow its simple instructions.
