Waterbury police are seeking a man in his early 20s of medium height and build, wearing faded jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt. The man is suspected of shooting Domingo Alves, age 43, Wednesday night on Walnut Street in the North End of Waterbury. Alves is in stable condition in the hospital, and investigators have stated he will survive the shooting. The gunmen allegedly drove a green Toyota Camry, parked it on Walnut Street, and got out and shot Alves multiple times with a handgun in broad daylight. Investigators believe the two men knew each other and the incident is drug related. Cash rewards are being offered by CrimeStoppers for information that leads to an arrest.
