Way back Wednesday The dual black & white shots were taken by my Mom I believe, when my family went with my Grandpa & Grandma to ride the Reader Railroad (near Camden) back in the what had to have been the mid to late 60s. They were pretty faded. I worked to bring some of the detail out after scanning. The single image is from the Reader Railroad website. Probably taken around that time. If you go to the website it says the tourist era started in 72. I think that is probably when they stopped doing commercial freight. I do remember that the conductor mentioned that it was still a freight carrier. At the Reader website (which seems to have been last updated 7 years ago) it talks about the Reader being used in motion pictures like There will be blood and 3:10 to Yuma. They take the engine, rolling stock and track and will set the whole thing up for the shoot... that has to be incredible expensive. readerrailroad/
