Way to go, Boss Eric :-) The whole thing reflects more on the War College than on John Walsh. A 14-page thesis?????? No faculty thesis director? No faculty committee to approve the thesis???? If so, were they not expert enough in their field to spot the plagiarized material, and to advise the student to re-write with appropriate quotation marks? Etc etc etc. Plagiarizing the particular phrasing of the conventional wisdom is one thing, but having to plagiarize the ideas of the extreme right wing, a la Daines, is quite another. But worst of all, is someone wishing to be a U.S. Senator and flaunting his science illiteracy - again, a la Daines. This election is not, or should not be, a plebiscite on Walshs lapsed ethics, but a choice between what kind of ideas you want to have represented in the Senate, and on whether you wish to turn that body over to the Republicans. They already control the House, and look at the tragic results.
