We Mormon artists, we peace lovers, we humans lost Emma Lou Thayne - TopicsExpress

We Mormon artists, we peace lovers, we humans lost Emma Lou Thayne yesterday. I had been reading a book by Emma this past week. She speaks of her own mothers death in this moving quote: (And isnt it lovely that we refer to an authors words forever in the present?) Midnight. Mother is gone. A few gasps. No real struggle. The vigil is over, and so is my childhood. We clung. We all clung. I had my chance to take care of her, to read to her, to bathe her soft little body,. to feed her, to give her her last shot, to offer her 7-up in a little purple goblet. She died as I showed her some baby roses--in a room filled with the tiny flowers she loved and sent. . . Hold my hand and help me. https://youtube/watch?v=4Ls8ZfeBmHA
