We Need Your Support On August 28th, the “Black Life Matters Ride,” an initiative of #BlackLivesMatter, will bring Black folks and anti-racist allies from across the country into Ferguson, Missouri, as part of a national call to end state violence against Black people. Your donation, which will be managed by the 501c3/community-based organization and ride sponsor (Dignity and Power Now based in L.A.), will be used to help: Subsidize travel (i.e. gas and tolls; bus and/or van rentals), housing, and/or for riders in need of financial assistance; Purchase necessary materials and supplies; Support any emergency costs accrued by riders, if nessary (i.e. legal fees and other safety matters); Support the family of Mike Brown. A percentage of the funds raised will be provided to the family.
