We again thank you all for your support and ask that you please share, like and ask you friends to share and like the following: Brian Boen Brian is seeking his first term on the BOLD School Board. He grew up in Olivia and has been a resident of the school district for 40 plus years. He is a 1986 graduate of Olivia High School and the son of a retired OHS/BOLD educator. He was blessed to return to the area after being away at college for eights years. Four years at Concordia in Moorhead (Bachelor of Arts Degree. Major in biology, minor in chemistry). He then went on to four years at Northwestern College of Chiropractic (Doctor of Chiropractic degree). He lives in Olivia with his wife Dana and two sons both of whom attend BOLD school. He is the owner of Heath Enhancement in Bird Island for the past 16 years. He has volunteered for the BOLD School District for the last 20 years. He is Church Council President at Cross of Calvary Lutheran Church, a member of the Bird Island Chamber of Commerce. He was previously a member of the Olivia Chamber of Commerce and the Olivia Golf Club Board. Brian feels the largest obstacle that our school District faces is mutual trust and respect between the BOLD community, staff, administration and school board. He feels when the general public is aware of the in-house discord that this does have an impact on our children and the quality of their education. He feels our school district is one of academic and extracurricular excellence. He would like to work towards the future of our children. He wants to be part of a group that will work together to restore the trust in each other by listening to all sides and making sound business decisions. Brian comes into contact with people in all walks of life thru his work. He is compassionate and caring and takes time to listen to individuals’ concerns. As a business owner he understands the importance of not only making sound decisions but also the importance of good communication and positive interactions with his employees and customers.
