I saw Van Goghs irises at The Getty Museum, Los Angeles… I stood and studied every brush stroke, thinking about the man, and wondering about what he was thinking; the scene he was seeing through his own eyes, how he was deliberating as he chose each colour and lay each one down, just so, to reproduce that scene on the canvas in his own unique way. I saw so much wonderful art that day, but that one painting was the highlight. It literally felt like being in the presence of greatness.
