We all dream about what we want to do, or where we want to be. A - TopicsExpress

We all dream about what we want to do, or where we want to be. A lot of us feel stuck in a job or a situation where we arent doing much beyond receiving a paycheck. Will I find a better job? When will I find something that makes me happy? What the hell am I meant for? It’s a common wish among us to find something that not only brings fulfillment and success – but something that stirs our soul, keeping us inspired and motivated to keep going. Think carefully about the things that you enjoy, the things that inspire you, and the things that help bring joy not only to yourself but to the people around you. Somewhere in there lies your life’s purpose. Here’s a sample reading to give you an idea: 1) LEADERSHIP - Right off the bat, youre being told that you are a powerful individual with the innate ability to make things happen. You might think to yourself, Whos going to listen to me or take me seriously if I try? This has to begin with yourself - *believing* in yourself first. Be confident in yourself, *believe* that you are powerful and able to succeed at *anything* that you take a chance on. Say for example that theres a higher paying position at your current job, but you are hesitant to pursue it because you think either youre under-qualified or that there are better-equipped people to take it instead. This card tells you that now is NOT the time to sell yourself short. This is exactly the right time for you to pursue important opportunities and take charge. Something I often tell clients: Its time to take life by the balls and squeeze. Crude, I know - the more gentile way of saying it is Seize the Day. Dont be afraid of taking chances, and dont hold back from taking charge and asserting yourself. You ARE a leader - trust and believe that you *can*, and take that chance! 2) HEALER - This card signifies someone whos compassionate, nurturing, sensitive and intuitive - qualities found in people who are natural healers. Healing is a part not just of what you do but *who* you are. Whether you work in the medical or holistic fields or in another medium altogether, you might already sense this about yourself, but you dont know *what* to do with it. Again, part of this is confidence. Another part is taking care of yourself FIRST. Think of it this way: You cant properly care for others if you dont take proper care of yourself. This means nourishing your body, being gentle with it, and not over-exerting or over-working yourself unnecessarily. Also, people who take on this role have to be careful - others might feel energized and refreshed after spending time with you, while *youre* left feeling bone-tired and drained. Being a healer means that youre constantly exposing yourself to harsher energies, so it is essential that you be good to yourself, be gentle with yourself - always. Healthy diet/exercise, plenty of water, lots of rest, and establish healthy boundaries with people and situations. 3) FLOWERS - What comes to mind when we think of flowers? Nature in bloom, fertility, springtime - Mother Earth in her purest form. From a career standpoint, this card could be taken literally - maybe youre a florist or a gardener or you work with flower/plant essences. On the other hand, flowers are also a symbol of fertility - it sometimes points to growth in the home. One of the greatest role well ever play is that of a mother. This doesnt just mean having and caring for children of our own, but creating and projecting abundance in our lives - in *all* areas. Receiving this message points to a caring, supportive, nurturing person who capable of tremendous patience. Think of it this way: Patience is required when youre working on an idea or new endeavor. It just takes a while for that idea to bloom into action. For further inspiration, consider spending time outdoors in a quiet area free of outside noise (sirens, loud music, etc). Be like Ferdinand the bull - take time to sit just quietly, and smell the flowers. Take time to breathe the air around you, admire the blossoms, and let inspiration take hold. *NOTE: The cards used are from The Life Purpose Oracle Deck by Doreen Virtue.
