We all go through difficulties, things we dont understand. Its easy to get discouraged and think, why am I having these problems? But being a person of faith, doesnt exempt us from difficulty. Mathew 5:45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust. No matter how good you are, no matter how much you honor God...you are going to face challenges. In fact, you may face more challenges than the person who doesnt honor God...but the good news is that, if you trust God with your issues, He will turn what the devil meant for your harm, to instead promote you. The one that trusts God has a promise that The Lord will not abandon Him, while the one that doesnt trust God has no promise, so they rely on their own strength...which is not enough. Mathew 7:24 Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it. Remember we grow in difficult times, we dont grow when everything is going great for us....its the challenges that make us stronger. So change your outlook in life, thank God for the challenges and ask for His grace to help you pass through the difficult time and come out stronger, with more experience. Romans 5:3 Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not put us to shame, because Gods love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Difficult times are an opportunity for a believer to use faith.... James 1:2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. 1 peter 1:7 so that the tested genuineness of your faith-more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire-may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. In difficulty times, you need to remind yourself that, This is not the end, my house is built upon the rock...the enemy doesnt have the final say, God does, and He promised me in His word that when its all over, I will still be standing. You may suffer a set back, you may have to endure some difficult times, but dont be discouraged, dont get bitter...thats just life, problems are part of life. Everyone has their dose of difficulty, but the difference comes down to what one believes... All of us can look back at tough times that we passed through, times we thought we were going to die, times that we never knew we would ever be happy again eg that divorce, that loss of a loved one, that addiction etc but here you are, still standing, whole and strong. That wasnt a lucky break, that was God...if He could do it then...He can do it now.TRUST HIM. 1 Samuel 17:37 And David said, The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said to David, Go, and the LORD be with you! Daniel 3:16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. 18 But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.
