We all have bad race days at some point and unfortunately today was that day for me despite starting off well. So lets look at the negatives, in race one we had no power due to what we belived to be a bad battery meaning I never made it past the out lap then more of the same im afraid in race 2 with it proving to be a deeper lying issue somewhere in the electrical system. I got a little carried away warming up the tyres, combined with the power cutting spun me around then the gremlins showed up as the car wouldnt start or bump start despite the fantastic effort Chris Cross and the rest of the marshals put in to try get me going, really cant thank them enough!!! The 7ty 5ive has been extremely reliable all season and this has crept up on us through no ones fault and the team has been amazing trying to diagnose the issue the 1st time round and we thought we had it nailed! Now on to the positives for the weekend, the team were amazing as we tinkered with the set up yesterday which payed off as I smashed my personal best around knockhill putting in a 63.6 second lap and placing the car 10th on the grid in qualifying this morning :D weve proved our pace and yes weve had issues however we wont be kept down so roll on the the 5th so we can really push and get a great result to end the season on a high :D #MikeCourtsRacing #ProRaceScotland #bmwcompactcup #7ty5ive #KnockHill #livetofightanotherday
