We all have conquered our own mountains in some form or another. - TopicsExpress

We all have conquered our own mountains in some form or another. Some earned their title with blood, sweat and tears; while others merely rode up on the effort and sweat of someone who had labored to build the Cog Rail. Both arrive at the top but the perception of the journey is different. The truth is, sometimes we have to scrap and struggle our way up the mountain, and other times, God lifts us up. I would dare say though, that while the view at the peak was the same for everyone, the EXPERIENCE was quite different. Same Mountain... Different Journey! There is something that happens to us as we look down from the top of the world. Our problems seem to shrink as we gaze out to where the horizon meets the sky. We realize how small we are and become suddenly aware that the Creator of the Universe holds the whole world [our little world] in HIS hands. When we have the right perspective, we see things as God sees them. We can allow ourselves to fixate on our situation, our loss, our hurt, our needs, our life; choosing to wallow in fear and worry about how to solve our problems or change our circumstances. -OR- We can lift our eyes to the MAKER and MOVER of all mountains, to the One who is compassionate and understanding to everything we are going through, to the Eternal One who is in control and holds every atom of the world together by His power, to the Healer who stands ready to transform us and heal us from the sickness of sin. What “mountains” has He put in your life to transform you or to enlarge your vision of His awesomeness? If you look back 10 years, what are some ways you see He has changed you, strengthened you, or given you peace and joy in exchange for sorrow and suffering? He indeed gives us strength to make the journey and only allows what we need to move to higher places.
