We all know that we have the right to a “jury of our peers,” but where does that come from? Many of you may have answered correctly “The Bill of Rights,” but it’s likely we haven’t given much thought to it since grade school. Did you know that in a 2003 Gallup poll only 47% of those polled where able to correctly answer a question about what the first ten amendments to the Constitution were called? The Bill of Rights may be something that it easily taken from granted, but it affects us more than we may think. The first amendment, the right to free speech, is often referenced; but what about some of the lesser known amendments?
