We all know the Phoenix Best Of reader poll is a flawed, uncontrolled voting process where the winner wins the opportunity to advertise in the paper. That said, it still offers the nominees some type of short lasting local prestige and bragging rights. There are really only 3 working comics nominated in the Best Comedian category. If you break it down to comics with the most stage time and credits, you find 2 real contenders. Bangor isnt really in the readership demographic and might as well be a different state. The clear choice, based on the nominees is Troy Pennell. Id be happy to demonstrate why I should be the write-in choice in the Best Facial category.
