ARTISTS deserve a fair wage, and a production that is making MILLIONS of dollars and selling ticket that range from 100 to 1000 dollars can certainly afford to pay artists... Oprahs the life you want tour is just one more example of the rich expecting to get MORE for nothing... And the LOCAL artists consistently doing this is undermining the entire community...If you want to donate your art to a worthy cause, GOOD, but is lining someone elses pocket who doesnt need it lined anymore a good cause? No I dont think so.. I think its simply greed and entitlement... and as artists we need to STOP, recognition does not pay your bills...
