We all made it to our respective homes safely. I reflect back on the ride, so much seems like a dream, did we really ride hundreds of miles over some of the harshest terrain on the planet? Many people think deserts are composed of sand, in truth, the Mojave desert is composed of stones, small stones, large stones, sharp stones, As Jeffers can attest to. We rode from the edge of the Mojave Desert at Cajon Pass, to the Eastern edge at Utah Hill north of Mesquite, Nevada, the location where Elisha Hunt in 1851 first saw the strange many branched yucca, which he named the Joshua Tree. The presences of which, demarcates the boundaries of the Mojave Desert. Our last camp in the Mojave was selected in part in the hope of a fine sunset, located as it was, high up the grade of Hiway 91 known as Utah Hill. It did not disappoint. The photos posted are those of the sunset along with a fine Joshua Tree seen from camp,
