We are ON A MISSION OF LOVE with Pope Francis, his predecessors, his successors, and Christ Himself – and were taking our LOVE with POPE FRANCIS to the CITY OF BROTHERLY LOVE, Philadelphia (September 2015) On A Mission of Love! We at Prepare The Way Enterprises™ have embarked On A Mission of Love through a New Evangelization Outreach Project we have called Remember You Are Loved™/Eres Amado™/Você É Amado™. It responds to Pope Francis call to the Christian faithful to embark upon a new chapter of evangelization marked by this joy (...of the gospel [that] fills the hearts and lives of all who encounter Jesus), while pointing out new paths for the Church’s journey in years to come. (Evangelii Gaudium, 1) Spreading the Good News of salvation is mandatory! Spreading the Gospel of Love is contagious! It is good for the heart and the soul, for our neighbor and our world. It is urgent in a world that is becoming increasingly polarized and divided, violent and hate-filled, and, at best, engaged in a worrisome globalization of indifference as Pope Francis has warned. History shows where this death-dealing heart condition can take humanity. German Jesuit priest Fr. Alfred Delp, condemned to death by the Nazis in Berlin, Germany, experienced it first-hand and said it well: The command to love God with all ones heart, with all ones mind, and with all ones strength no longer has any meaning for us; we treat it as something handed down like a legend, something that has served its turn and can be thrown aside. (From Prison Writings) We no longer feel obliged to love our neighbor as ourselves, as Christ has loved us and has commanded us in the second part of that greatest, twofold New Commandment. Why? Present-day humanitys incapacity for love, for reverence, for appreciation has its roots in arrogance and in this petrifying of existence. (Ibid) Hearts have become petrified, hardened, callous. - We are softening them! The meaning of existence is being lost. - We are helping people find and embrace it! People are accused of being haters, especially we who should be known as lovers. - We are reversing that perception and animosity! We are doing so as we put out into the deep – duc in altum!– and let down our nets as commanded by the Lord Jesus for a miraculously plentiful catch (cf. Luke 5) and as encouraged at the turn of the Third Christian Millennium by St. Pope John Paul II in Novo Millennio Ineunte (cf. We are doing so by carrying out, as commanded, the Mission of the Redeemer of which St. John Paul II said: Making the Father present as love and mercy is, in Christs own consciousness, the fundamental touchstone of his mission as Messiah. (cf. Dives in Misericordia, 2, 3, 4) The New Evangelization requires it now more than ever! We are doing so as we educate, enthuse, and equip others to exercise a love that evangelizes as love-filled, joy-filled, spirit-filled new evangelizers who spread the joy of the Gospel (cf. Article at ievangelize.wordpress/2013/12/22/love-like-you-mean-it-becoming-spirit-filled-evangelizers/). There is clearly a need for a New Evangelization more visibly motivated and permeated by love, one in which the new evangelizers can truly say with St. Paul: Caritas Christi urget nos: The love of Christ compels us! – 2 Corinthians 5:14 (cf. Porta Fidei, 7; Radio interview at relevantradio/rediscover-hour). Through our New Evangelization Outreach Project, Remember You Are Loved™/Eres Amado™/Você É Amado™, we at Prepare The Way Enterprises™ are committed to educating, enthusing, and equipping people to carry out a new evangelization by learning how to... - Love more and love better. - Love like you mean it. - Love someone new each day. These are among our mottos. This is at the heart of the two-fold commandment to love God and neighbor with our whole being. This is at the heart of the culture of witness and the culture of encounter that the Church is calling for in this new chapter in the New Evangelization era. Yes, we are On A Mission of Love©! With the present pope, his predecessors and his successors, and with Christ himself, going out and reaching into the existential peripheries where people are distant from and indifferent to God and Church as Christ and His Vicar have asked and modeled for us, touching people –literally!– with the love of God and the joy of the gospel that consume our hearts! (cf. m.vatican.va/content/francescomobile/en/messages/youth/documents/papa-francesco_20140121_messaggio-giovani_2014.html). The vision is spreading. The stories are countless. The impact is real. The potential is almost unlimited. Our simple yet profound message of divine and human love is resonating with people, young and old, inside and outside the Church, everywhere we go! We continue LOVE MESSAGING people from all over the world since our July 2013 launch at World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where we touched –literally!– 3,000 people from over 60 countries in 10 days. Since then we have reached 10,000 people from over 80 countries on every continent! – and thousands more reached via radio, television, Internet, social media, talks I have delivered at conferences, seminars, Parish Missions, Love Minutes, Love Matters, and Love Booths at numerous local, regional, national, and international events. The fact that this simple yet profound paradigm shifting Love Initiative has directly reached in just 15 over 11,000 people from over 100 countries on every continent through the two Love Outreach Items we currently have (LoveStrong™© T-shirts and Wristbands in three languages) –and have reached thousands more through new and old media– attests to this Love Initiatives power and potential. We are beginning to create a movement and a paradigm shift by which people begin to and commit to living a life of love, an uninterrupted love life in which every person we encounter is seen as pre-loved and is treated in the only manner in which another human ought to be treated – with love, as we see in the Golden Rule, in natural law, and in the New Commandment given and modeled by Christ. We are helping people get and stay in the (love) zone. We are helping people identify and eradicate from their lives, slowly but surely, all thoughts and feelings, attitudes and actions of indifference and unlove, utilitarian use and abuse, selfishness and spiritual sloth, sterile pessimism and spiritual worldliness, warring among ourselves and hatred of other human beings (cf. Evangelii Gaudium, 81-101). We are helping people see another self and Christ himself in other human beings, be they born or unborn, rich or poor, agreeable or disagreeable, known or a complete stranger. We are helping people come to a fuller and richer understanding and acceptance of Gods love without which we cannot truly love our neighbor as ourselves nor love as Christ loves us. In the end, we are helping people become saints by becoming lovers in the words of pope emeritus Benedict XVI: What the Church really needs are people who are inwardly seized by Christianity, who experience it as joy and hope, who have thus become lovers. And these we call saints. (cf. Salt of the Earth, 265) Lovers! Saints! Imago Dei! Thats my goal. Thats my mission. The love and joy of the Gospel that seized me at the age of 15 and compelled me then to evangelize is the same joy and love that compels me now! We have accomplished much with an abundance of grace and guidance from God... with very limited human and financial resources... but with no shortage of vision and purpose, know-how and drive, the fruit of well over 20 years of experience in the field of the new evangelization and ecclesial work at the parish, diocesan, national, and international levels ministering to people of various languages and cultures, ages and backgrounds. We are certain that with the same abundance of grace and guidance we will do a hundred times more as we secure the necessary human and financial resources needed to implement the full potential and vision of this New Evangelization Outreach Project. YEAR ONE bore great fruit and thus gives us and our partners assurance of what can be done: much! YEAR TWO and YEAR THREE will include, but not be limited to, these major initiatives: - 2014: expansion of our multilingual and multimedia website - 2014: completion of business plan and marketing strategy, and hiring of staff - 2014: Love Tips (similar to my 12 Tips For An Effective New Evangelization: parishvitality.net/uploads/6/5/0/6/6506618/12_tips_for_effective_new_evangelization.pdf) - 2014-2015: expanded presence of Love Booths at local, regional, national, and international events, malls, fairs, and festivals - 2014-2015: continued development of talk series, conferences, Parish Missions, Love Minutes, Love Matters, Love Coaching Seminars, and radio and television shows in more than one language - 2015: publication of first book(s) on love in more than one language - 2015 World Meeting of Families in Philadelphia (Theme: Love Is Our Mission) - 2016 World Youth Day in Poland (Theme: Blessed are the merciful) (cf.
