We are about to close escrow on my childhood home. Today my sister and I took a walk around the house and the property for possibly the last time. As we were in back of the house, we heard a very loud kittens meow. We finally located it--there is a retaining wall in back of the house made of cinder blocks (those concrete blocks with holes in them). The kitten had fallen in the hollow space about 3 blocks down and was unable to get out. I was able to fish her out of the hole and she iwas just so tiny, but had her eyes open and was moving around pretty well. No sign of mama cat or rest of litter, and I was afraid to leave her in case either of either a dog attack or falling back in the hole. So I brought her home where, lets just say, all the right people were present. She is currently asleep in the spare bedroom in a big crate, and Jasmine is surprisingly OK with it. Feedings every 4 hours. Possibly foster care tomorrow. Or possibly just staying here. Well see what tomorrow brings!
