We are all back home, but not without some trauma. Catters - TopicsExpress

We are all back home, but not without some trauma. Catters slipped through the cat door into the house before it was opened for airing out. She seems fine now, but I will keep an eye on her. Baby Blue the kitten freaked out and climbed high in a tree and needed rescuing. Saylors friend rescued him and we are grateful. Stormy the cockatiel is now in my room and clearly happy about it so that is good. 6 cactus were uprooted and I will have to replant them this weekend. The catnip under Saylors window is dead and my houseplant that Ive had since 1999 is also dead even though it was a good distance from the house during the rain of poison. So theres yard carnage to deal with later, both practically and emotionally, but for now we are all, without exception, so happy to be home and are going to nourish ourselves with Snapper Jacks Taco Shack. My ambitious plans to work while in the hotel are laughable in retrospect. It seems the whole week is a loss in the work department because I still have to unpack all of the food, medications and ingestibles that were double-bagged before the fumigation. I somehow need to find the energy to go grocery shopping before the day is over. Overall it has been and continues to be a stressful time, but we are over the hump and the entire family, humans and non-humans, did some valuable bonding over it.
