We are almost half way through the first year of the ACA. So far, our agency has seen the average cost of a family health insurance plan to be $1800 per month if you were to buy it privately. This means that you didnt ask for any subsidies. This is more than most peoples rent or mortgage, so, most Americans are applying for the subsidies. Please, do not ever feel that you are one of the few who are applying for the government assistance. This IS the new process, this IS the way its meant to be. The people NOT applying for the subsidies are the fewer. Just your tidbit for the day :) This is new for all of us, and some people really ARE having a hard time with the transition and feeling miserable about it. Please dont. This is America and we will all make this work.
