We are at the threshold of a new year! It is a cultural custom to look back on this year to remember persons and moments as we close out one year and welcome in a new one. We remember the lives we celebrated at their funerals. We remember folks who have moved to new places, new towns, and some to new lives in retirement. We wish for all of them Gods blessings even as we grieve their moving on. We remember the sound of laughter when serving children meals at the Summer Food for Kids program. We remember new faces in worship - our frequent visitors and folks who have joined us on this faith journey. We delight in seeing children in worship and welcome new babies into our church family. We remember music made in our church. We, also, remember the great meals around our table. Life is mixed with joy and sorrow. I thank God for the many blessings we have experienced. Thank you for welcoming new staff and folks to FCC this year. May 2015 bring us even closer to being the Beloved Community and may God equip us for the challenges ahead!
