We are baaaaccckkk! Amazing trip! Great birthday in the Czech Republic. Trains, planes, and automobiles all on time in Europe and great weather for the entire trip. Now the rest of the story.... Could not get my boarding pass issued. Now I know why... I was, as the agent said, "specially selected to participate in an extra security check." What? That is a perk? Well I got the full blown deal. I asked if Hal could come with me just in case I might not come back and I spent the next 45 minutes being xrayed, wanded, swabbed, grilled, had every single thing taken out of my carryon, and it was all examined. All the time they kept saying this is at the request of the TSA in the US and they had to make sure I did not have explosives. I am really OK with all of this for the sake of safety, but it was a heck of a way to spend my last 45 minutes in Austria. Just barely made the plane-we were the last people on. Then our flight from Dulles/DC to Chicago was 4 hrs. late-Hal was in the bathroom during the turbulence and held on for life. The flt attendants were even ordered to buckle up. We drove through terrible storms today to get home, and sinuses are already bugging me! Would we change a thing??? Nope- it is just what makes life interesting and fun!
