We are back safe and sound after another flying trip to Melbourne. Yesterday mornings Angle Flight was cancelled so we ended up on a Sharps flight down and got there a bit after 7pm last night. We stayed in the accommodation within the hospital last night care by parent which was great except for Ivy flooding the bathroom and bedroom pretty much as soon as we got there! This morning Ivy went off to theatre for a scheduled lumber puncture, bone marrow aspirate and Intrathecal chemo. We had a small set back with Ivys replacement nose tube coming out while she was in recovery so she had to go back in to theatre, under ga again and have another one put in. It put us a little behind schedule but we got to our oncology appointment eventually, picked up more chemo and other meds and made it back to the airport in time. This week, Angel Flight went all out and our ride home was a private jet! We felt very very special, it really was amazing and taking only 28 minutes to get from Essendon to Hamilton was totally awesome especially after a full on day. Our wonderful Angel Flight pilots Charles and Ewan were both just lovely and we are extremely thankful for the help and brilliant service Angel Flight provide. All went well, doctors are happy and for now we dont need to go back for four whole weeks! Yippee :)
